TablePlus Pricing Explained (2026)

TablePlus sells one-time, per-device licences rather than subscriptions, and its free version is limited rather than time-limited. This page explains each plan, what the free version allows, how renewals and extra devices work, and what a licence costs for common set-ups.

Steps and facts checked 8 October 2026 against the vendor's official documentation. Versions covered: TablePlus for macOS 26.10.22, Windows 26.10.2, Linux 1.7.0 (pricing applies to all three). Next review due January 2027. Menus, shortcuts and prices change between releases; check the vendor's documentation for your version.
Short answer
  • TablePlus pricing is a one-time purchase per device: Basic covers 1 device, Standard 2 devices, and Team is sold per seat with a minimum of 3 seats.
  • Every licence is perpetual and includes one year of updates. After that year you keep the last build released before expiry, or renew for more updates.
  • The free version never expires, but it is limited to 2 open tabs, 2 open windows and 2 advanced filters at a time.
  • The same licence covers the macOS, Windows and Linux apps, and unlocks the iOS app on a set number of devices while the licence is current.
  • The pricing page offers a 7 day money back guarantee, and the education plan offers students and teachers a discount on request.
How we know: Research-based: plans, prices, licence terms and free version limits were checked against the TablePlus pricing page, the TablePlus licensing documentation and the TablePlus education plan page on 8 October 2026. We have not bought or activated a TablePlus licence for this page. Prices change; confirm them on the pricing page before you buy.

How TablePlus pricing works

The short answer to "how much is TablePlus" is that you pay once per device, not every month. The TablePlus pricing page describes every plan as "Buy once, use forever" and states that the purchase is one-time with no auto-renewal. Prices are listed in US dollars and VAT may be added depending on your country.

A licence is tied to devices, not to an operating system. The pricing page says a Basic licence can activate on 1 device and a Standard licence on 2 devices "regardless OS", so one licence can cover, for example, a Mac at work and a Windows PC at home. The vendor states that the listed prices are for the Windows, macOS and Linux versions, and that the iOS app is free for owners of a desktop licence.

Each licence includes one year of updates and support. The TablePlus licensing documentation explains what happens next: after a year you can renew to keep updating, or keep using the last build released before the licence expired, without limitations.

The three plans compared

All three plans unlock the same premium features. They differ in how many devices they cover, the number of iOS activations, and the administrative extras that matter to companies.

Is TablePlus free? The free version limits

Yes and no. The licensing documentation says TablePlus is free to download and use for as long as you need it, but with usage limits: a maximum of 2 active tabs, 2 active windows and 2 advanced filters at a time. The pricing page adds that advanced filters are not available on the free Windows version, and that the vendor may change the free limits in future releases without notice.

In practice the free version works as an open-ended trial. It is enough to check that TablePlus connects to your databases and to judge the interface, but two tabs is tight for daily work that mixes a query editor with several tables. If you need a client that is free for regular use, compare the free options in our TablePlus alternatives guide, such as DBeaver Community.

Renewals, extra devices and moving to a new computer

Renewal. Renewing is optional. The pricing page lists a renewal price per device for existing customers, and the download page FAQ says the renewal fee is much cheaper than buying a new licence. If you do not renew, you keep the last build covered by your licence.

Extra devices. The licensing documentation says a single-seat licence entitles you to use TablePlus on one computer only. To cover more machines you can add seats to an existing licence or buy a volume licence. The pricing page lists a per-device price for an extra device.

New computer. If you format a machine or replace it, the documentation tells you to unlink the old device in the License Manager and then activate the new one with the same key. The License Manager is also where you recover a lost key or transfer a licence to another email address.

Refunds, VAT and invoices. The pricing page offers a 7 day money back guarantee, requested by email from the licence address. Payments are handled by Paddle, which sends the invoice separately from the licence key email; European business customers can add a VAT number at checkout.

Which TablePlus licence should you buy?

In our view the choice is mostly arithmetic. One person on one machine needs Basic. One person with two machines (a desktop and a laptop, or Mac and Windows) is better served by Standard than by two Basic licences. Companies with three or more users should look at Team, mainly for the License Manager and the right to reassign seats, and because it is the only plan the vendor allows to be resold.

Before buying, check that the database you need is supported on your operating system. The TablePlus documentation marks Oracle as macOS only and Snowflake as macOS and Windows only, and the Linux app is versioned separately from the macOS and Windows apps. Our TablePlus review covers those limits, and the DBeaver vs TablePlus and DataGrip vs TablePlus comparisons put the price in context against a free tool and a subscription tool.
