How to Download & Install TablePlus (Windows, Mac, Linux)

TablePlus offers official builds for macOS, Windows, Linux and iOS. This guide gives the official TablePlus download links, the system requirements the vendor publishes, the Linux package commands exactly as TablePlus documents them, and how to activate a licence afterwards.

Steps and facts checked 8 October 2026 against the vendor's official documentation. Versions covered: TablePlus for macOS 26.10.22 (build 802), Windows 26.10.2 (build 394), Linux 1.7.0 (build 310), iOS 27.0.4. Next review due April 2027. Menus, shortcuts and prices change between releases; check the vendor's documentation for your version.
Short answer
  • Download TablePlus only from tableplus.com: the documentation links a latest-build URL for macOS and Windows, a Linux install page, and the App Store for iOS.
  • macOS needs 10.13 or later according to the download page (the older documentation says 10.11); both Intel and Apple silicon Macs are supported.
  • Windows needs .NET 4.8, and the installer checks for it and installs a compatible version if it is missing.
  • Linux is installed from TablePlus repositories with APT, YUM or DNF, or run as an AppImage, on x86_64 and ARM64.
  • The download is the free version; entering a licence key under TablePlus > Register license removes the limits.
How we know: Research-based: download links, requirements and commands were checked against the TablePlus documentation, the TablePlus download page, the TablePlus Linux installation page, the macOS, Windows and Linux changelogs, and the App Store listing on 8 October 2026. We have not installed TablePlus or run these commands for this guide; follow the official pages if your version differs.

TablePlus download options and system requirements

Every official TablePlus download starts at tableplus.com/download, which offers macOS, iOS, Windows and Linux. The table below combines the requirements the vendor publishes on the download page and in its documentation. Where the two disagree, we show both.

Install TablePlus on macOS

  1. Open tableplus.com/download and choose macOS, or use the documented latest-build link https://tableplus.com/release/osx/tableplus_latest.
  2. Open the downloaded file and start TablePlus. The welcome screen lists saved connections and a Create a new connection button.
  3. If macOS reports The package is damaged, the TablePlus troubleshooting page says your macOS version is probably not supported, and the fix is to update macOS.

macOS is the only platform with a beta channel. To opt in, open the preferences (Cmd + ,), go to the General tab and tick Receive Beta Updates. The vendor's advice is to use beta builds at your own risk.

Install TablePlus on Windows

  1. Download the installer from tableplus.com/download (Windows) or from https://tableplus.com/release/windows/tableplus_latest.
  2. Run the installer. According to the TablePlus documentation it checks whether .NET 4.8 is present and installs a compatible version if it is not, so you do not need to install .NET separately.
  3. Start TablePlus from the Start menu and create your first connection.

The Windows changelog lists the newest releases (from 26.9.5 in August 2026) as an x64 download, while earlier builds were offered for 32 and 64 bit. If you need an older build, the changelog page links each release.

Install TablePlus on Linux (APT, YUM, DNF or AppImage)

The TablePlus Linux installation page has a tab for each method and a separate block for each Ubuntu release and architecture. The commands below are copied from that page for Ubuntu 24.04 on x86_64 and for RPM-based systems; for Ubuntu 22.04 or 26.04, or for ARM64, copy the block for your system from the page, because the repository path changes (for example debian/24 or debian/24-arm).

The Linux app is versioned separately from the macOS and Windows apps (1.7.0 in August 2026). Its changelog shows features arriving later than on macOS, so check it before relying on a specific feature.

iOS, licence activation and older builds

iOS. The iOS app is installed from the App Store. The pricing page says the iOS version is free for owners of a desktop licence, and each plan unlocks a set number of iOS devices while the licence is current.

Activate a licence. Every download starts as the free version (2 tabs, 2 windows and 2 advanced filters at a time). After purchase, the licensing documentation says to open TablePlus > Register license..., or click Register on the welcome screen, and paste the key from your email. If the key is rejected, the troubleshooting page notes that the usual cause is pasting it more than once. Plans and prices are explained in TablePlus pricing.

Older builds. When your year of updates ends you may want the last build your licence covers. The documentation points to the macOS and Windows changelogs, which link every release.

After installing: connect to a database

Once TablePlus is running, follow the guide for your engine: connect TablePlus to PostgreSQL, connect TablePlus to MySQL or connect TablePlus to SQL Server. Check the supported database list first: the documentation marks Oracle as macOS only and Snowflake as macOS and Windows only. For a broader view of the tool, read our TablePlus review.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the official TablePlus download?

On tableplus.com/download. The documentation also gives direct latest-build links for macOS and Windows, the Linux install page at tableplus.com/linux and the App Store for iOS. Avoid third-party download mirrors.

Is the TablePlus download free?

Yes. The same download runs as the free version, limited to 2 tabs, 2 windows and 2 advanced filters at a time, until you register a licence key.

Does TablePlus run on Linux?

Yes. TablePlus publishes APT repositories for Ubuntu, YUM and DNF repositories for RPM-based distributions, and an AppImage, for x86_64 and ARM64. The Linux app has its own version numbers and changelog.

Which macOS version does TablePlus need?

The download and pricing pages state macOS 10.13 or later on Intel or Apple silicon. The older documentation page says 10.11, so treat 10.13 as the current minimum.

Does TablePlus work on Apple silicon Macs?

Yes. The download page lists support for both Intel and M chip (ARM) Macs.
