Trillium suits large organisations with heavy customer, supplier or product master data that need global address verification, standardisation and matching at scale, in batch or real time. It is classic enterprise software priced by quote; teams that want checks in their SQL or Python pipelines will find lighter tools a better fit.
Overview
Trillium started as Trillium Software, a specialist in name and address data quality, which Syncsort acquired in 2016; Syncsort rebranded as Precisely in May 2020. Precisely groups it in its Verify (data quality and governance) family with Spectrum Quality and the Data360 products it gained from Infogix. The current Trillium family has three products: Trillium Quality for cleansing, standardisation, matching and address verification; Trillium Discovery for profiling and rule-based assessment; and Trillium Geolocation.
Trillium Quality applies country-specific postal rules and verification data to correct names and addresses, standardises customer, product and financial data, and matches records into a single view of customers, suppliers or products. Services run in batch or real time, on premises or in the cloud with Precisely managing the infrastructure, and expose open APIs. Precisely is also building a SaaS Data Quality service in its Data Integrity Suite, where rules are defined centrally and run by an agent where the data lives.
Key features
- Global name and address verification using country-specific postal rules and reference data, including USPS CASS certification
- Cleansing and standardisation of customer, product and financial data without manual pre-formatting
- Matching and de-duplication to build a single view of customers, partners, suppliers or products
- Batch and real-time services, with open APIs and connectors for CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and SAP
- Trillium Discovery profiling with business rules, designed once and run on traditional, distributed or cloud platforms
- Two-way integration of Trillium Discovery with Collibra and Data360 Govern, so governance rules are evaluated and metrics returned
Integrations and ecosystem
Pros and cons
Pros
- Deep global name and address handling, including postal certification
- Batch and real-time processing with the same rule sets
- Matching across customers, suppliers, parts and products
- Governance integration with Collibra and Data360 Govern
Cons
- No published prices, trial or version information
- Not a data observability tool: freshness, volume and schema monitoring are not documented
- Precisely's data quality portfolio overlaps (Trillium, Spectrum, Data360 DQ+, Data Integrity Suite), so the long-term product direction needs confirming with the vendor
Pricing
Precisely publishes no prices for Trillium Quality or Trillium Discovery; the product pages direct buyers to contact sales or request a demo. We found no free trial for Trillium on the pages checked (Precisely advertises a free trial for its APIs, which is a different product).
Pricing checked on the vendor's official page on 7 November 2026. Prices change; confirm before buying.
Who it is best for
Enterprises that need high-volume customer and address data cleansing, standardisation and matching, in batch or real time, across many countries.
Typical use cases
- Verifying and correcting customer addresses in many countries before mailing or delivery
- Matching duplicate customer records from several CRM and billing systems into one view
- Standardising product and supplier data before loading an MDM hub
- Profiling source systems against business rules as part of a governance programme
Who should look elsewhere
- Data teams that want automated monitoring of warehouse tables: see Monte Carlo or Bigeye.
- Small teams that need free validation in code: see Great Expectations.
Verdict
Trillium remains a serious option for name, address and entity data quality where volume, many countries and real-time services matter. It is a quote-priced enterprise product with little public technical detail, and Precisely also sells a newer SaaS Data Quality service in its Data Integrity Suite, so ask how Trillium fits that roadmap before a new purchase.
Frequently asked questions
Is Trillium still sold?
Yes. In November 2026 Precisely lists Trillium Quality, Trillium Discovery and Trillium Geolocation in its Verify data quality family. We found no end of sale notice.
What is the difference between Trillium Quality and Trillium Discovery?
Trillium Quality cleanses, standardises, matches and verifies data, especially names and addresses. Trillium Discovery profiles data and evaluates business rules, and can exchange rules and metrics with Collibra or Data360 Govern.
How does Trillium relate to the Precisely Data Integrity Suite?
The Data Integrity Suite is Precisely's SaaS platform. Its Data Quality service defines rules centrally and runs them through an agent where the data lives, and Precisely presented it in May 2023 as complementing existing Trillium, Spectrum Quality and Data360 DQ+ deployments rather than replacing them.
