DBeaver Keyboard Shortcuts Cheat Sheet

A printable cheat sheet of about 75 default DBeaver shortcuts, grouped by task, with the Windows and Linux keys beside the macOS keys. Every entry comes from DBeaver's own shortcuts reference.

Steps and facts checked 8 October 2026 against the vendor's official documentation. Versions covered: DBeaver Community 26.2.2 and PRO editions 26.2 (default key scheme). Next review due April 2027. Menus, shortcuts and prices change between releases; check the vendor's documentation for your version.
Short answer
  • Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Return on macOS) runs the statement under the cursor; Alt+X (Option+X) runs the whole script.
  • Ctrl+Shift+F (Control+Shift+F on macOS) formats SQL, and Ctrl+Space (Control+Space) opens autocomplete.
  • Ctrl+Shift+L (Shift+Cmd+L) lists every shortcut active in the current context, and Ctrl+3 (Cmd+3) finds any command by name.
  • Change any binding in Window, Preferences, User Interface, Keys; DBeaver also offers a Keyboard Only key scheme with extra shortcuts.
How we know: Research-based: every shortcut below is copied from the DBeaver Shortcuts documentation (default key scheme) as published on 8 October 2026. We have not checked each key on every platform. DBeaver's documentation writes macOS keys as symbols; we have written them out (Cmd, Control, Option, Shift, Return). Several macOS entries in the official list use Control rather than Cmd, and we reproduce them as documented.

How to use this DBeaver shortcuts sheet

These are the default DBeaver shortcuts. DBeaver is built on Eclipse, so a shortcut can depend on which part of the window has focus: the SQL editor, the results grid, the Connections view or a diagram. If a key does nothing, click into the right panel first.

To change a binding, open Window, Preferences, User Interface, Keys, select the command and enter a new key in Binding. On macOS some keys in the official list differ from what you might expect (for example Control+4 to commit), so check this page against Ctrl+Shift+L (Shift+Cmd+L), which shows the bindings active on your machine. Use the print button above for a paper copy.
