Short answer

Hevo suits smaller data teams that want a managed, point-and-click pipeline service with published entry prices. It is cloud only, and streaming pipelines, SSO and VPC peering are reserved for the custom-priced Enterprise plan, so check which features you need before comparing list prices.

How we know: This profile is research-based: plans, prices, event definition, connectors, destinations and replication methods were checked against Hevo's official pricing pages and documentation on 7 November 2026. Hevo's two pricing pages did not agree on plan names or the free plan, as noted in the pricing detail. We have not used Hevo or measured event volumes.

Overview

Hevo Data is a managed pipeline service. You pick a source and a destination in the web interface and Hevo extracts, loads and keeps the data updated, with optional transformations. Its pricing page lists 190+ connectors, all included on every plan. Documented sources include PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Kafka, files in S3, Azure Blob and Google Cloud Storage, and SaaS tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify and Stripe.

Destinations include Snowflake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Databricks, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and Amazon S3. For databases Hevo uses log-based replication: binlog for MySQL, logical replication with pgoutput for PostgreSQL, Change Tracking or CDC for SQL Server, and redo logs for Oracle. Hevo also documents Edge, a newer pipeline type in public review, and a separate Activate product built around datasets, targets and activations.

Key features

  • 190+ connectors included on all plans
  • Log-based replication for MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and Oracle sources
  • Python code-based and drag-and-drop transformations before load
  • dbt integration from the Starter plan
  • Hevo APIs for pipeline automation and an Airflow provider for orchestration
  • Streaming pipelines, SSO, RBAC and VPC peering on the Enterprise plan

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Published starting prices for the Starter and Professional plans
  • All connectors included on every plan
  • No-code setup with built-in transformation options
  • Fixed-price Enterprise option for predictable bills

Cons

  • Cloud only; no self-hosted edition
  • Streaming pipelines, SSO and RBAC require the custom-priced Enterprise plan
  • Hevo's own pricing pages disagree on plan names and the free plan
  • Event-based plans still follow data change rates, with on-demand charges above quota

Pricing

Hevo's main pricing page (hevodata.com/pricing) lists Starter from USD 299 a month, or USD 265 a month billed annually, for 5, 20 or 50 million events and up to 10 users; Professional from USD 849 a month, or USD 750 a month billed annually, for 20, 50 or 100 million events and unlimited users; and Enterprise at a custom, fixed annual price with unlimited data volume per pipeline. An event is each record inserted, updated or deleted in the destination, and usage above the plan quota is billed on demand. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card. That page does not show a free plan, although a separate Hevo pricing page (hevodata.com/pricing/consumption) still lists a Free plan of 1 million events a month for limited connectors and a Business Critical tier, so confirm the current plans with Hevo.

Who it is best for

Small and mid-sized data teams that want a no-code managed ELT service with published entry prices for loading databases and SaaS apps into a cloud warehouse.

Who should look elsewhere

Verdict

Our take

Hevo Data is a reasonable managed option for smaller teams that value published prices and a simple interface. Its limits are cloud-only deployment and important features held back for Enterprise, and because its pricing pages are inconsistent, confirm plan details and event estimates with Hevo before signing.

Frequently asked questions

How does Hevo count events?

Each record inserted, updated or deleted in the destination counts as one event. Starter and Professional plans include an event quota, and usage above it is billed on demand.

Does Hevo have a free plan?

Unclear as of 7 November 2026. Hevo's main pricing page shows only paid plans and a 14-day free trial, while a separate Hevo pricing page still lists a Free plan of 1 million events a month. Check with Hevo.

Can Hevo be self-hosted?

No. Hevo is a cloud service; Hevo does not list a self-hosted or open source edition.
